B & B / Walking Breaks (£35 p.p.p.n)
We are open throughout the week for Bed and Breakfast.
Breakfast is served in our lovely dining room with its long banquet table and fantastic views across the valley.
Typical breakfasts include cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurts, locally-baked bread, local jams and free range eggs.
During your stay you can relax in our comfortable rooms, enjoy the treatments and make use of all the facilities at your own leisure.
This might be as much as you want to do during your stay, just enjoy a bit of quiet and relaxation time, which is perfect!
However, if you are interested in exploring the area and love walking or cycling then this is the ideal base for you.
From a gentle stroll down to Rosedale Abbey to an invigorating hike up Rosedale Chimney Bank there are plenty of paths to explore. Lyke Wake Walk with its diverse wildlife and moorland scenery is a perfect trail. We can give you advice and suggest walks and route maps if you need them.
Your walking breaks can also include therapeutic sessions such as relaxation, visualisation, gentle yoga exercise and reflexology or massage by qualified therapists at a small extra cost. You can also use our sauna and foot spas.
Our location makes The Orange Tree an ideal base for a walking holiday and exploring Rosedale. Activity in beautiful countryside with the hot tub or sauna to come back to!
The Rooms
The Orange Tree is designed to be relaxing and comfortable, “a home from home”, and has been fully refurbished over the last 5 years.
Each of our eight bedrooms; (a range of twins, doubles and a triple) have been sympathetically decorated with soft pastel shades to make you feel even more relaxed and comfortable.
Most of the rooms are ensuite, other rooms have their own private bathroom just across the hall. Every room has a fantastic view across either side of the beautiful Rosedale valley.
Open House
And then there’s the living room, with comfy sofas and cushions, a big open fireplace and lots of interesting magazines and books to read.
The dining room, a lovely double windowed room with views out onto the valley, has a long dining table where everyone can sit and enjoy meals together, candle–lit in the evening.
Plus, of course, there’s our relaxation studio, sauna and treatment rooms, all for you to use while you’re here.
What to wear?
The great thing is you don’t need to worry about what to wear. So, tracksuits, jeans, anything comfy, is fine, even for meals, whatever you feel most comfortable in.
